Colored Powder and Confetti! Benefits of using Pigmented Acrylics!

Women are wanting to have longer lasting nail color without the waiting under a nail dryer or aggravating bumping of their nail polish. So how can we achieve that? Well you have a number of ways. Today's nail systems are improving and delivering beautiful, professional results like SNS, Gel Polish with LED and your good ole' liquid Gel application. But what about colored powders? Have we mistakenly forgot about the awesome wear powers of it? Below, I explored minutely how colored powders can result in a beautiful, flawless, no chipping set! The possibilities with mixing glitters, confetti and bling are endless! Let's take a look.

The products I used to do
my nail set are Glam and Glits
Diamond Collection in a shade of blue,
CND Clear Powder, Yellow glitter, and
Silver Confetti sprinkles.

I knew when choosing these colors I wanted
something bright for the Summer season, and glittery
because I'm a girl, I like anything with glitter in it,
on it, around it! Lol! Plus, It reminded me of the Sun. I took
a few dashes of the yellow, mixed it with the CND
clear, and wala! A neon yellow nail!

I also did the same with these silver sprinkles.
After applying them solo, I felt I should have
added different colored ones.

I then threw a dash of blue in the mix. I'm not sure
why I  chose this shade of teal/blue,
but I liked how it looked. It also has a shimmery
tint to it once applied and appears darker on your
nail than how it looks in the jar.
Since this collection, in my opinion,
doesn't have a strong hold as far as no lifting,
I added CND clear powder for strength.

If your choosing a colored powder
and glitter as your design & foundation,
understand your creating a no chip, color acrylic
nail set. Which is the point right. But, your also
making it to where your fill ins will require the
same colors each time. So be wise as to how you
wish to wear your nails!

Here's how my nails came out!
Another fun fact about wearing colored powders
is, you just add your top coat, let dry for 2-3 minutes and go!
For a finished dry look, add a matte top coat.
This looks a lot better than leaving the acrylic as is.
Using this method, I can dig in my purse, eat food
and text on my phone without the worry of
messing up my nail polish.
